In its review from August 2016, Decanter magazine selected the Chianti Rufina Vendemia 2014 among the 8 outstanding wines from Tuscany, out of 81 wines tasted from vintage 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
2014 has been a humid and difficult vintage, but wines if well made are balanced, elegant, with fine tannins. Their acidity is perfect for pairing with food.
Michael Garner says : “2014 are delicious now and are not going to get better, so why wait ?”.
According to Emily O’Hare : “I’d urge people to seek out these balanced, drinkable wines as they’ll provide great pleasure for not a lot of money.”
