Muscadet, Loire, January 2024
The New Year starts off with a fresh label update from Domaine Batard Langelier.
Since taking over the family estate, Jérémie Batard has made a point of producing wines which express their plots and terroirs!
His vineyard, 95% of which is planted with Melon de Bourgogne, finds its originality in the richness of its soils and bedrock. Here granite, there gneiss or gabbro, so many possible variations of organoleptic expression on the theme of Muscadet.
To showcase his work in the vineyard and cellar, here are three new labels created by Jérémie on sleepless nights, replacing his previous Didascalie, Métaphore and Polaris labels. This minimalist series uses elements from his own vineyards.
Notably – all the bottles will take a Burgundy form, and the classic Muscadet bottle will not longer be used for the cuvées, in an effort to have a cohesive range of wines that speak to the quality and ageability of the Muscadets made by Jérémie at his Domaine Batard Langelier.
We are absolutely THRILLED with this new design and hope you will enjoy them too!
You can taste these wines and meet vigneron Jérémie Batard during the 2024 edition of La Levée de la Loire wine salon, or at Wine Paris 2024!
