Domaine Bader is located in Epfig and sprends over 13 ha with plot on slopes on Fronholz hills and plots more in plane.\u00a0<\/div>
Pierre Scharsch cultivates all his vineyard in organic viticulture and regenerative agriculture.\u00a0
Thanks to his marl-sandstone soils, he has both, clay to stock water in a region where rainfalls can be rare, and silice to produce wines with a nice minerality.

The growing season is already well advanced since the vines are currently at the 7 to 8 leaf stage, and the future grape clusters are now clearly visible. Yields appear to be moderate to low, setting the stage for a vintage focused on quality.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In the cellar, bottling of the 2023 vintage took place during the second half of April. Now, all the attention is back in the vineyard, where soil maintenance and shoot thinning are mobilising the vineyard team’s energy.<\/em><\/p>

After a winter marked by heavy rainfall, spring has turned out to be cool and very dry under persistent high-pressure systems. Water reserves are still adequate, but a dry summer seems likely.
To prepare, I decided to adjuste my ground cover management, opting for a very light ploughing to turn the thick grassy cover into a protective mulch. This will help retain soil moisture and delay early drought stress.<\/em><\/p>
